How Social Media Changed the World

Media specialists from around the world will share insights about media literacy and how social media has impacted their countries.

In celebration of National Media Literacy Week, RGC and BiQi Marketing are co-sponsoring a panel discussion to raise awareness about the global impact of social media. Stephanie Armstrong, President of BiQi Marketing will be the moderator for the panel.

The panel features media specialists participating in the State Department’s premier professional exchange program, the International Visitor Leadership Program, hosted by RGC. During the three-week exchange program, participants will examine the theme of “Integrity in Journalism: New Media and Civic Engagement” across the U.S.

Media Literacy is the ability to access, analyze, evaluate, communicate, and create using all forms of communication.The mission of Media Literacy Week is to highlight the power of media literacy education and its essential role in education today.
