Bivona Young Professionals (BYP) is an initiative committed to making a difference in the lives of local children who have experienced sexual and physical abuse and to help increase awareness of Bivona Child Advocacy Center. BYP is a group of motivated, passionate and active professionals in their twenties and thirties with fresh ideas and an ever-expanding social circle. BYP is an excellent way for young professionals to work together to increase visibility and outreach opportunities, fundraise and manage events on behalf of Bivona Child Advocacy Center. What’s the most powerful force to fight childhood sexual abuse? Awareness! Secrecy and shame just don’t stand a chance against a community full of people with knowledge about what’s wrong and a commitment to bring hope to the lives of children who have been abused. BYP is a membership organization to create a force within Greater Rochester. It’s a concrete way to help a lot of kids – the more than 1,000 who come to Bivona Child Advocacy Center each year, and the many more who don’t yet know how Bivona can help. What’s in it for you? Meet like-minded young professionals who are passionate about helping children, develop leadership skills, join at the ‘ground level’ and play an integral role in the development of BYP and much, much more. Since 2004, Bivona Child Advocacy Center has impacted over 6,000 children providing inspiration, hope and a journey towards healing. |
